The first of the series of other Diablo-themed releases will  hit the PTR on June 23 before enjoying a full release on June 30, barring any problems, and will see The Butcher from Diablo 3 added to the game as a melee assassin, with the Battlefield of Eternity map also coming.

The Butcher has a passive trait called Fresh Meat, which causes minions to drop one meat and heroes to drop three meat when killed. Picking this up increases his damage by 1% per stack, and you can hold 25 at a time, with all lost on dying.

In terms of abilities, Hamstring slows enemies, while Butcher's Brand marks a foe. Any damage done to them heals of you for 75% of the damage done, and the effect is doubled against heroes. Rounding out the normal abilities is Ruthless Onslaught, a charge attack that stuns foes.

The Battlefield of Eternity map, on the other hand, features two outside lanes with a large central combat area. Here, two Immortals will spawn and begin a duel to the death and it'll be up to the teams to defend their own while defeating their foes'. Whichever survives will teleport into one of the lanes and begin to push against the enemy core.

Mercenary Camps on the map have also been given a Diablo-themed lick of paint, with Siege Golems replaced by three Khazra and the Bruiser Camp featuring a Shaman and two dogs he can resummon until he dies. The latter, in particular, is rather powerful as his dogs can be continually resummoned to take down towers unless a hero intervenes and kills him.
